Patterson Intellectual Property Law P.C. is an Intellectual Property boutique in Nashville Tennessee. We are looking for a registered patent attorney with 2-5 years of prosecution and or IP litigation experience. The ideal candidate will be a registered patent attorney with a degree and experience in either electrical engineering, computer technology, or mechanical engineering.
In addition, the candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills; strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities; be admitted to a state bar of the state in which they reside; registered with the USPTO; exceptional legal writing and drafting skills; effective communicator with clients; ability to multi-task and meet deadlines efficiently.

Duties include managing and prosecuting patent applications in various technical fields such as electrical engineering, software, and mechanical engineering; providing counsel on patent – and trademark – related matters including litigation, licensing, and portfolio management; drafting patent and trademark applications, responses to office actions, and other related documents; work to understand client’s technologies and offer strategic advice regarding intellectual property development, enforcement, and monetization.
