Patents grant property rights on new and useful inventions, allowing the patent holder to prevent others from using, making, or selling that invention without permission for a limited time. U.S. patents are permitted by the U.S. Constitution and are designed to promote scientific progress and invention. By allowing inventors to profit from licensing or selling their patent rights, inventors can recoup their research and development costs and benefit financially from their inventing efforts. There are three main types of patents utility, plant, and design. Utility and plant patents can last up to 20 years, while design patents can last up to 15 years. When a patent expires, the patented material enters the public domain, making it free to use by anyone without a license. U.S. Patent No. 12,044,052 entitled “Furniture Connecting Fitting” issued July 23, 2024 to Samet Kalip Ve Madeni Esya San Ve Tic. A.S. of Istanbul, Turkey. Invented by Artur Hirtsiefer of Neunkirchen-Seelscheid, Germany. Abstract: The invention relates to a furniture connecting fitting (10) having an attachment section (51, 53) for coupling to a cabinet body (110), wherein a kinematic arrangement (30) is coupled indirectly or directly to the attachment section (51, 53), wherein an assembly piece (80) is provided, which assembly piece has a fitting end (81) facing the attachment section (51, 53) and a furniture attachment end (81.3) facing away from the fitting end (81), wherein the attachment section (51, 53) has at least one locating element (55) which, in an assembly position, interacts with a mating element (85) of the assembly piece (80) to form a connection, which acts transversely to the furniture attachment end (81.3) in a form-fitting and detachable manner, wherein an actuating element (60) is provided, which can be moved between a release position and a blocking position, and wherein the actuating element (60) rests against a supporting section (52) to secure the assembly position in the blocking position. Such a furniture connecting fitting can be easily connected to and installed on a cabinet body even in a compact design.

U.S. Patent No. 12,043,162 entitled “System for Transport of Dry Bulk Material” issued July 23, 2024 to Michael Taylor of Riddleton, Tennessee. Also invented by Michael Taylor. Abstract: A dry bulk material transport system for the modular transport and unloading of dry bulk material, the dry bulk material transport system comprises a transport container, a storage container, and a pneumatic bulk material outflow system. The transport container comprises a transport container shell, a transport container support frame fixed to the transport container shell, a transport container outlet disposed at a bottom of the transport container shell, and a transport container outlet valve rotatable between an open position and a closed position. The storage container comprises storage container shell, a receiving frame fixed to the storage container shell and configured to receive the transport container support frame, a storage container inlet disposed at the top of the storage container shell, and a plurality of storage container outlet valves movable between an open position and a closed position.
