Patent Protection & Registration

Patents grant property rights on new and useful inventions, allowing the patent holder to prevent others from using, making, or selling that invention without permission for a limited time. U.S. patents are permitted by the U.S. Constitution and are designed to promote scientific progress and invention. By allowing inventors to profit from licensing or selling their patent rights, inventors can recoup their research and development costs and benefit financially from their inventing efforts. There are three main types of patents utility, plant, and design. Utility and plant patents can last up to 20 years, while design patents can last up to 15 years. When a patent expires, the patented material enters the public domain, making it free to use by anyone without a license. U.S. patents are issued by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)

U.S. Patent No. 12,134,926 entitled “Control Arm Having Adjustable Length” issued November 5, 2024 to Samet Kalip Ve Maden Esya San. Ve Tic. A.S. of Istanbul, Turkey. Invented by Artur Hirtsiefer of Neunkirchen-Seelscheid, Germany. Abstract: The invention relates to a control arm for joining a flap holder to a flap, folding flap, door, or the like in an articulated manner, the control arm including at least one first and one second telescoping arm displaceably guided thereon for adjusting the length thereof, and the control arm including at least one fixing device for fixing the position of the two telescoping arms relative to each other. It is thereby provided that a detent connection acting between the telescoping arms in the direction of the change in length thereof is associated with the control arm and includes at least two detent settings disposed along the change in length of the control arm and spaced apart by a detent spacing. The invention further relates to a lifting device having such a control arm and a method for adjusting the length of such a control arm. The length of the control arm can be easily and quickly adjusted to the particular flap, folding flap, door, or the like.

U.S. Patent No. 12,134,499 entitled “Skid Apparatus, System and Method” issued November 5, 2024 to Innovative Steel Works & Fabrication, LLC of Rockvale, Tennessee. Invented by Greg Waltman also of Rockvale, Tennessee and William B. McDowell of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods are provided for a skid system including a skid apparatus. The skid apparatus may include a skid frame including at least one lateral member coupled to at least one side member at a coupling location, a skid plate coupleable to at least one of the at least one lateral member or to the at least one side member, at least one skid slot extending through the skid plate, and a pipe support configured to couple to the at least one skid slot.

U.S. Patent No. 12,134,448 entitled “Inflatable Water Safety Harness with Load Bearing Structure” issued November 5, 2024 to Greater Oceans Inc. of Dana Point, California. Invented by Jeffery Hornbaker also of Dana Point, California and Eric Thorstenson of San Diego, California. Abstract: The present disclosure relates, in one aspect of the disclosure, to an inflatable water sport safety garment for providing buoyancy to a wearer comprising a harness structure, at least one handle, and at least one inflatable flotation device. The harness structure may include at least two shoulder portions, at least one torso portion encircling the torso of the wearer and attached to the shoulder portions, and at least one central portion connected to the shoulder portions.

U.S. Patent No. 12,134,867 entitled “Shiftable Cabin” issued November 5, 2024 to Wirtgen GmbH of Windhagen, Germany. Invented by Stephan Drumm of Vettelschoss, Germany. Abstract: A road milling machine includes a machine frame having a longitudinal axis. A plurality of ground engaging units support the machine frame from a ground surface. A milling drum is supported from the machine frame. An operator’s station is supported from the machine frame by a support linkage configured to move the operator’s station laterally between an inner position and an outer position relative to the machine frame. The support linkage includes at least one pivot link extending between the machine frame and the operator’s station and oriented to pivot about a pivot axis extending parallel to the longitudinal axis of the machine frame. The operator’s station in the outer position extends laterally partially beyond the machine frame on one of the left and right edges of the machine frame, the outer position being at a higher elevation than the inner position relative to the machine frame.

U.S. Patent No. 12,135,767 entitled “Systems and Methods for Ingesting Credential Information” issued November 5, 2024 to Professional Credentials Exchange, LLC of Tampa, Florida. Invented by Anthony Begando also of Tampa. Florida, Matthew M. Sylvestre of Norfolk, Massachusetts, and Tami L. Hansen of Easton, Massachusetts. Abstract: A method for selective data ingestion into an exchange platform for verified credentials includes receiving credential data associated with first users (participants) in native file formats. For each participant, the received credential data is converted into a first participant credential set (PCS) according to a markup language format and having a source-independent data structure, and the first PCS is transformed into a second PCS having a data structure resolvable against a host template comprising a data set of minimum requirements. The second PCS for the respective participant is discarded if it fails to conform after being resolved against the host template, or otherwise cryptographically hashed and instantiated as a searchable object in an underlying persistence layer. A query is receiving from a second user (buyer), the query comprising search parameters, wherein each of the qualifying second PCS from the participants are further programmatically reviewed against the query.

U.S. Patent No. 12,135,193 entitled “Mobile Munition Assembly and Apparatus, Systems, and Methods of Executing a Mission for the Mobile Munition Assembly” issued on November 5, 2024 to Caleb Crye of Brooklyn, New York. Abstract: A device may acquire an image of a target area located within the mission environment. A device may provide a first set of firing conditions to the munition, the first set of firing conditions corresponding at least to the target area. A device may provide authorization to the at least one mobile munition assembly for firing based at least on an airspace collision avoidance status dynamically determinable over a maximum future time of launch consideration (tmax). A device may be based on a provided authorization, firing the munition from the launcher according to the initial parameter set. A device may at the fired munition: measuring a second set of firing conditions, confirming an intended firing status of the munition by comparing the second set of firing conditions to the first set of firing conditions; and guiding the munition to the target area.

U.S. Patent No. 12,135,187 entitled “Apparatus, Systems, and Methods of Authorizing an Operation for a Portable Launch Assembly” issued on November 5, 2024 to Caleb Crye of Brooklyn, New York. Abstract: A method for authorizing and executing an operation for at least one portable launch assembly in a potential area is disclosed. An initial launch parameter set corresponding to an intended area is provided to a launch unit. An airspace deconfliction (AD) module within one or more electronic devices is provided an authorization to launch the launch unit based on an airspace collision avoidance status that is determined by ensuring there are no possible points of intersection between the launch unit and an air vehicle in an airspace surrounding the launch unit. After launch, the launch unit confirms an intended launch status according to one or more measured launch parameters, and, based upon the confirmed launch status, guides the launch unit to the intended area.
