John Willis is a results-oriented intellectual property attorney with a passion for helping clients acquire, enforce, and protect their intellectual property rights. He concentrates his practice in intellectual property prosecution, litigation, and agreement preparation.
John Willis’s intellectual-property agreement experience includes licensing, development, non-disclosure, confidentiality, intellectual property acquisition, software and end-user licenses, and joint-endeavor agreements. He has assisted numerous clients with trademark, patent, and copyright prosecution before the USPTO and U.S. Copyright Office. He also has experience representing clients in intellectual-property matters before state and federal district courts, the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and the WIPO and the ADR Forum under the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy.
Prior to attending law school, John Willis worked as a mechanical engineer in the oil and gas industry. His engineering background brings strategic value and understanding to client’s needs.
